PAN OUT

Pan Out & West Creative

In 2016, the government launched a new initiative to encourage employers to engage with careers advice in schools. In Wandsworth, one of these partnership wanted to engage employers in the hospitality and catering sector. They got in touch to sort the marketing to schools and leading industry employers.

"Since 2011, the number of positions left vacant because employers cannot find people with the skills to fill them has risen by 130%."
UK Commission for Employment and Skills, Skills Survey 2015

Creating an identity that appealed to secondary school students and had credibility with sector employers was no mean feat. It had to be fresh, credible and grab people's attention really fast.

PANOUT: was a multi-channel campaign on and offline. The responsive website captures the excitement and impact of each project, whilst acknowledging the involvement of several partners. Offline, various print items communicate the benefits of being involved from posters to table talkers.

Bringing the Experience to Life
To amplify the impact of the project, a video was commissioned to give participants a richer experience of the impact. An emotion rich, docu-style video recieved rapturous applause at its premier in Wandsworth Town Hall and has proved to be a visitor rich source of marketing across social media.
